Tanzwoche Dresden 2021
“A paralyzed dancer like Sophie Hauenherm can, by virtue of her inner voice, let go of all aids for the time of dance and engage in the overcoming power of dance. If it has to be carried to applause by colleagues, then life has caught up with art, but art has caught up with life."
The ensemble “DieTanzKompanie” consists of 7 professional dancers with and without handicaps, three professional musicians. “We come from many different cultures”, Darcy explains, “and we have different religions and abilities.”
The range ranges from the best German dance actress Anna Süheyla Harms
(Prize winner Theatre Prize Faust) from Australia to Hans Fickelscher from Germany.
Other dancers include Laura Brückmann from Germany with Down syndrome and a professional qualification as a dance assistant or the young and incredibly expressive professional dancer Sophie Hauenherm with incomplete paraplegia.
